Description
Plaintiff, Jack C. Chilingirian, appeals the district court's grant of summary judgment for defendants Mayor Joseph F. Boris, Jr.; city council members Janice A. B. Wilson, Leo R. Sadowski, and Edmund T. Adamczyk; and the City of Fraser in his civil rights action filed pursuant to 42 U.S.C. §§ 1983, 1985, 1986, and 1988. Chilingirian's suit challenges his termination as a city attorney for Fraser, Michigan. He first claims that the district court erred in concluding that he lacked a property interest in continued employment as city attorney. Additionally, he claims that statements made by a city council member during the meeting at which he was terminated in absentia so stigmatized his name and reputation as to deprive him of a liberty interest. Finally, Chilingirian challenges the procedural sufficiency of a name-clearing hearing granted him by the city. Finding Chilingirian's claims to be without merit, we affirm the district court's ruling.
